Back to School Night 5:30 – 7:25
August 31, 2017
Back to School Night is a night to learn about your child’s curriculum for the current school year. Teachers will provide an overview of the content standards for the subject areas, as well as other important information pertaining to classroom instruction. The classroom program times are for parents.
Students, please remember to get your physical before try outs begin. You will not be able to participate if you do not have these forms turned in. You can pick up an athletic packet in the main office.
Dear Washington Families,
On behalf of the staff at Washington School, I am happy to welcome you to the 2017-18 school year! We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:
1) Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience
2) Completes all homework assignments given by teachers
3) Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills
4) Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life
Our highly qualified staff is dedicated to making our students feel successful and helping them to achieve academic excellence. By working together as parents and educators we can build a foundation for lifelong learning. Here at Washington we genuinely care about our students and that motivates us to provide the best experience for each and every student. Ensuring a safe, positive learning experience is a top priority for me and all of my staff.
This coming year will provide wonderful opportunities for our students to grow both academically and socially. Please feel free to contact me with questions or concerns. I am here for your students. Thank you for supporting Washington School.
