Site Council
The role of the Washington School Site Council is to:
- Develop and recommend the School Improvement Plan (SIP); (following approval of the School Improvement Plan by the District Board).
- Review with the principal, teachers, other personnel, and pupils the implementation of the school improvement program and to assess periodically the effectiveness of the program.
- Annually review the School Improvement Plan, establish a new school budget consistent with the Education Code, and if necessary make modification in the plan to reflect changing improvement needs and priorities.
- Address other issues of concern to parents regarding student education.
The Site Council meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month during the school year. Meetings are held in the conference room and start at 3:15 pm.
