Textbook
We will be using the Prentice Hall, Paso a Paso Level 3 testbook. The book consists of twelve chapters. All chapters are based on individual themes.
Course Description
Spanish 3 will be taught according to the national standards of foreign language. Spanish 3 is designed for students to develop fluency. The class will be taught in spanish. The objectives for Spanish 3 are to improve students' communication skills, develop comprehension, improve writing skills and review grammar already taught. Students will also be reading Spanish literature.
Classroom Routines
Students are required to have a pencil, pen, paper and their textbook. It is recommended that they have a Spanish/English dictionary. All students need to be on task, and working on assigned Spanish activities.
Grading Policy
Students will be graded on a points system. All assignments will fall into one of the following categories: Homework, Tests/Quizzes, Classwork, and Porjects. The student's grade will be calculated by dividing the points earned by the total number of points available in the class.

- A: 97-93%
- A-: 92-90%
- B+: 89-88%
- B: 87-83%
- B-: 82-80%
- C+: 79-78%
- C: 77-73%
- C-: 72-70%
- D+: 69-68%
- D: 67-63%
- D-: 62-60%
- F: 59-0%
Tardy Policy
The students and teacher will follow the school's regulations regarding tardiness.
Homework
Students will have a homework assignment everyday except on Fridays. The assignment will be related to the day's lesson. If a student is absent he/she is expected to make-up any assignments missed. If students are absent one day they will have one day to turn in any missing work. Any late homework will only receive half credit. Homework assignments will be written on the board.

- Students can make an appointment to meet with me before or after school
- Students can meet with me during tutorial
- Students can go online to the Paso a Paso website at: http://www.pasoapaso.com. On this website, students will find games, puzzles, self-tests and quizzes for additional practice.
Classroom Rules
- Students must be in their seats ready to work when the bell rings.
- Students must show respect to others.
- Students may not eat or drink in the classroom (water bottles are allowed).
- There will be no interruptions when a student or the teacher is talking.
