Math V - Calculus Plus-AP

Welcome to Calculus Plus! Math V is a pre-calculus, calculus and finite math course all wrapped together. There will be topics from each of those areas and you will explore some "old" and many "new" ideas. We will apply the concepts to many disciplines such as science, social science and business. Because it is a college level class, the vast majority of the content will be related to calculus, and the approaches we take will be those you find in a college level course. You will be well-prepared for the Calculus AB test should you wish to take it. Two important tools for this class will be the graphing calculator and the computer, and you can expect to use one or both frequently during the year. This is a foundations course, geared to providing you with a basic understanding of these topics, and allowing you the greatest possibility of future success in college mathematics as well as applying mathematics in your future careers.
