Course of Study
The elements of design most stressed are line, form, texture, color, area, balance and composition.
A creative atmosphere in class is created by a degree of controlled informality, permitting students to exchange ideas and receive stimulation from each others' efforts. Extensive effort is made to create new and stimulating assignments. All students have the opportunity to express themselves in the following media: pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, poster paint, pastels and colored pencil. In addition to the above, advanced students may work with watercolor, silk screening, block printing, scratch boarding, etc.
All instruction is approached on the basis of 1) basic and technical instruction, 2) individual assistance to each student in an attempt to help every student achieve success.
